It takes a lot to look beautiful and sustain that beauty… Makeups and clothes are just enhancers… A model represents someone which is “you”, a brand or an initiative… Without models, we cannot appreciate the combined efforts of the makeup artist and designer… one needs the other… The physique of the model adds beauty to the outfit with the right fittings and adjustments; and the facial features are been beautified by the makeup artist…

Photographers are also an extra… An important extra part of making a model into what he/she becomes… all the Photoshop and photo tricks just to make a model look flawless and market ready…

A model goes through a lot to look the part… Diets, rigorous workout training (few observe this) and most times starving… You see them walk down the runway (Project Runway/Fashion Shows) and pose at photo shoots (Americas Next Top Model)… Some have to cut their hair, lose more weight simply because it is important to stay relevant or you kiss your dream goodbye…

Have I discouraged you in any way? Well, that’s just how it is… before you think of becoming a model there is a lot you have to consider… A new look which would probably focus on your selling point, castings, photo shoots, etc… Remember, you are doing this because it is what you want… you have to make sacrifices to get what you want…
